This is a Hitachi PMGR Starter for 1997-On Nissan With the 2.0L - SR20DE Engine. This Starter Has a Similar Appearance to the 17246 (Hitachi Version) Except This Unit Has a Nose Cone. This Unit Also Has a Single Lead Off the Solenoid For the Ignition Terminal Similar to the 17246 Which May Interchange With This Unit. Nissan (Infiniti) Has a TSB (#ITB01-063 Dated 10/17/2001) Which Warns of a Noisy Engagement Problem Especially When Cold Caused by the Grease in the Starter Draining Out During Periods of High Temperature. Use of a High Temperature Grease in the Starter Will Cure This. |
